Bilateral consultations with EU Member States on the baseline scenario for the revision of the Thematic Strategy on Air Pollution

EU Member States are invited for bilateral consultations on input data used for the preparation of the baseline scenario for the revision of the EU air policy.

To support the European Commission in the review of the Thematic Strategy on Air Pollution, IIASA is working on the baseline scenario that will serve for more in-depth analyses of policy options and their related impacts. The baseline scenario(s) are planned to be ready by the end of 2012.

These consultations should improve the mutual understanding about the estimates of future emissions and mitigation potentials. Discussions will focus on emission-related aspects, but will not address disagreements about assumptions of the PRIMES/CAPRI scenarios.  Furthermore, Member States will have the possibility to provide national activity scenarios.

Read more about the topics to be discussed and the timetable for the consultations.
