Governance
The Council governs IIASA and is responsible for establishing relations with governments and multi-national bodies; for determining financial and managerial policies, and subject areas for research of the Institute; and for ensuring that the activities of the Institute are in line with its objectives, the provisions of the Charter and the interest of the national member organizations.
The Council appoints the Institute’s Director/CEO, Deputy Director/Deputy CEO, and the following committees to carry out its work and achieve IIASA’s mission and objectives:
- Executive Committee
- Finance Committee
- Membership Committee
- Program Committee
- Science Advisory Committee
