Biography
Elisabeth Suwandschieff joined the Agriculture, Forestry, and Ecosystem Services Research Group of the IIASA Biodiversity and Natural Resources Program in 2023 as a research assistant. She is working on a systematic literature review on negative emissions (carbon storing), with a focus on afforestation and reforestation.She is also currently completing her PhD at the Comparative Cognition Unit of the Messerli Research Institute, Vetmed University, Vienna. Her work focuses on social learning mechanisms, specifically imitation in kea parrots (Nestor notabilis).
