The Summer School will be held at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) in Laxenburg (Austria), which is located 15 km south of Vienna. The commute from Vienna to IIASA will take 30 to 60 minutes (depending on the location of your accommodation) as the institute is based in a former imperial palace located in Laxenburg, Lower Austria.

Vienna is a very popular tourist city, especially during the summer months. You are free to organize your own accommodation at a venue of your choice (hotel, AirBnB, hostel, etc). We recommend staying near the Vienna Central Station “Hauptbahnhof” as public transportation from there to IIASA via bus will take approximately 30 minutes, one way. For more information on housing options, click here.
