Integrated Solutions for Water, Energy, and Land project

The project will development of a systems analysis framework for assessing integrated policy and management options for water, food, energy and ecosystem security under rapid global change

The project is expected to produce coordinated and sustainable resource allocation and planning decisions that acknowledge tradeoffs while taking advantage of synergies across sectors and management scales.

The systems analysis framework will be prototyped and tested in case studies in Africa and Asia. The studies are expected to foster greater understanding among stakeholders of the tradeoffs and potential synergies of decisions in different sectors and across different scales.

The availability of applicable integrated decision support tools and databases, enhanced by local knowledge, will build the foundation for a knowledge and capacity network on integrated systems analysis and decision support which would then lead to the foundation of a regional knowledge and capacity network.
