Horror scenario population boom?

Wolfgang Lutz was interviewed for a new documentary directed by Werner Boote

Are shrinking resources, poisonous trash mountains, famine and climate change all results of overpopulation? How has the world population of 7 Billion become a horror scenario and who is behind this popular allegation? Who exactly is too much?

After „Plastic Planet”, "Population Boom" is the second documentary directed by Werner Boote. In order to find out who and what drives this worst case scenario, the film includes an interview with World Population Program leader Wolfgang Lutz on a Finnish island. Based on the critical questions raised, the documentary "will certainly stimulate discussions" so Lutz.

On 17 September the premiere took place in the Gartenbaukino in Vienna, followed by a discussion including Werner Boote and Wolfgang Lutz.

POPULATION BOOM is shown in Austrian cinemas since 20 September 2013.

The next public viewing and discussion will take place on 7 October at the Gartenbaukino in Vienna, presented by the Austrian newspaper Der Standard
