Sergei Scherbov was invited to take part at the Vienna Congress com.sult 2014 and to participate in a workshop entitled "Migration – Not a Threat, But an Opportunity." The workshop will discuss demographic changes in Europe, and consequential policy frameworks in terms of migration and human resource.

The Vienna Congress com.sult is a forum for decision makers in economics, politics, science, and media. It aims to substantially strengthen European thinking and action. The 11th International Vienna Congress, „Europe: Setting directions“, aims to provide concrete impulses on urgent interrelated European questions such as migration, innovation policy strategies, economic competition across regions and sectors, and political culture.

The multifaceted agenda includes panel discussions and workshops and offers a wealth of topics. The congress is a meeting place for participants from industry, politics, the media and the business community as well as prominent international figures to discuss future-relevant topics, and forms a network of executives and decision-makers.

Among the high level guests are Nobel Prize Laureate Dan Shechtman, Father of the contraceptive pill Carl Djerassi, Former President of the Czech Republic Václav Klaus, and many more.
