Varvara Fazalova

Varvara Fazalova graduated in 2005 from the Department of Biology, Irkutsk State University. Her main fields of scientific interest include molecular genetics and evolution, as well as evolutionary ecology.

Ms. Fazalova was a participant in the 2006 Young Scientists Summer Program. She returned to IIASA is January 2007 to join the Evolution and Ecology Program, where she is working on developing spatially explicit speciation models with the aim of identifying speciation processes from extant speciation patterns.
