Frode Vinje Lium joined the Adaptive Dynamics Network in 2000 for joint research on the phenotypic and genetic adaptation of life-history traits in the Northeast Arctic cod, Gadus morhua, in response to long-term changes in climatic conditions and exploitation pressures.
