IIASA Alumnus Energy
Ayelet Davidovitch joined the Energy program (ENE) at IIASA in November 2018 and is working as a Research Scholar under the IIASA-Israel Program, having joined from the Natural Resources and Environmental Research Centre (NRERC) at the University of Haifa Israel. Her primary research interests are in energy and climate change.
Currently, Dr Davidovitch's research at IIASA is focused on the Israeli energy sector trade-offs and synergies by 2030 by developing a national MESSAGEix model for Israel. Her previous work includes the implications of climate change on the insurance industry and the Israeli economy, economic analysis of green building, and economic modeling.
Dr. Davidovitch holds a PhD in Natural Resources & Environmental Management from the University of Haifa Israel (2017), an MSc in Behavioral and Management Sciences from the Technion, and a BA in Economics and Management. Prior to joining IIASA, she was involved in the research of the Israeli Climate Change Information Centre, studying the Israeli adaptation plan to climate change. In addition, Dr. Davidovitch has eight years of industry experience, working as an economic researcher and consultant.
