Institute of Mountain Risk Engineering, BOKU Vienna

The Institute of Mountain Risk Engineering considers the combination of nature and engineering in a meaningful way, thereby solving the problems regarding natural hazard protection in our cultural landscape as its duty. Integrated approaches are used to do so. The postulate of sustainability under consideration of economic, ecological and social issues is their top-most commandment.

Their main research focuses on the development of solutions for current as well as future problems by using modern and scientific methods.
