Center for Global Change and Sustainability, BOKU Vienna

The Center for Global Change and Sustainability was launched in June 2010 at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU).

The main purpose of the Center is to foster collaboration and promote research at the BOKU both internally (interdepartmental) and externally (at local, national and international levels) in the fields of global change and sustainability, and to promote sustainability within the BOKU in academics (teaching and research) as well as daily BOKU operations (operational ecology).

TransLoss

Loss and Damage (L&D) has gained traction since it became apparent that climate change would lead to impacts that cannot, or will not, be tackled by mitigation or adaptation. While current research mainly focuses on L&D in the Global South, our objective is to provide policy-relevant scientific insights from the perspective of Austria, a Global North country. More
