Education and Training

Education and training are an integral part of IIASA research. Programs like the Young Scientists Summer Program (YSSP), Postdoctoral fellowship program, and the new Southern Africa YSSP build capacity at the governmental and international level and also further the development of  successive generations of young scientists in the systems analytical tradition.
Southern African Systems Analysis Centre (SASAC)

Building on the successes of the Southern African Young Scientists Summer Program (SA-YSSP), the South African NMO and Government (Department of Science and Technology) have decided to evolve and expand its activities to develop capacity for systems analysis in South Africa and the wider region by launching the new Southern African Systems Analysis Centre (SASAC).  More

Postdoctoral Research at IIASA

Every year 4 postdoctoral scholarships are available for research on topics related to the IIASA research agenda, with two selection periods each year in December and June. More

Young Scientists Summer Program

Since 1977, IIASA’s annual 3-month Young Scientists Summer Program (YSSP) offers research opportunities to talented young researchers whose interests correspond with the institute’s ongoing research on issues of global environmental, economic, and social change.  More
