Ferrero YSSP Fellowship

Established for three years in 2016, the Ferrero YSSP Fellowship supported YSSP fellows, whose research interests aligned with IIASA expertise and research strategy, and contributed to Ferrero's long-term commitment to sustainable sourcing of raw materials and zero deforestation.

Ferrero was collaborating with IIASA between 2015 and 2018. With their self-set zero deforestation commitment and the RSPO certification of its palm oil, Ferrero made a pledge to lead the transformation of consumer goods industry towards long-term sustainability.

Ferrero’s generous support of the YSSP Fund further strengthened their commitment to spearheading an evidence-based transformation of their day-to-day business and added more young and visionary scholars to the global zero-deforestation movement. During the time of the IIASA-Ferrero partnership, the company sponsored five YSSP fellows at IIASA.

The recipients of the 2018 Ferrero YSSP Fellowship were Fumi Harahap and Muhammad Nurariffudin.

The 2017 Ferrero YSSP Fund Fellowship recipient was Nemi Vora. Read her research project abstract and a news posting about her recent success.

The recipients of the 2016 Ferrero YSSP Fellowship were Kemen Austin (project abstract) and Honglin Zhong (project abstract).
