2013 publications

Three special journal issues, as well as the intensive dissemination efforts, meant that the number of publications by the Transitions to New Technologies (TNT) Program scientists reached an all-time high of 40 in 2013.

Publications

TNT researchers Nebojsa Nakicenovic and Keywan Riahi were appointed co-editors of three special journal issues that were completed in 2013.

  • The EMF (Energy Modeling Forum) study on Global Technology and Climate Policy Strategies [1] addressed a core TNT research topic: the interface between our conceptual understanding of technological change, its representations in models, and the implications of these for climate policy design;
  •  The second special journal issue reported on the collaborative work on new socioeconomic scenarios (SSP) [2] for the IPCC 5th Assessment Report;
  • The third special journal issue reports on a collaborative study on Staged Accession Scenarios for Climate Policy [3].
