Joint research activities between IIASA and Ukrainian researchers in 2013 included:

  1. The integrated modeling of managing agriculture, energy, and water security across both spatial and temporal scales in order to provide policy advice to the Ukraine.
  2. A new Eurasian Economic Integration Project to assess the prospects of economic interactions of regional alliances on the Eurasian space.
  3. Studies to reduce the uncertainties of greenhouse gas emissions in Poland, Russia, and Ukraine.

In addition, two Ukrainian doctoral students took part in IIASA's Young Scientists Summer Program in 2013.
