Workshop on European Experiences on Multi-pollutant Control Strategies

IIASA will host a meeting of the Sino-Norwegian project on Urban atmospheric multi-pollutant prevention and control in China.

The aim of this project is to propose and develop tools and policies for a new strategy for reducing the impact of complex air pollution and at the same time reduce the emission of greenhouse gases.

Participants will include representatives from the Chinese Ministry of Environmental Protection, the Chinese Academy for Environmental Planning, Urumqi Environmental Protection Bureau, Tianjin Institute of Urban Construction, Norwegian Institute for Air Research, Climate and Pollution Agency of Norway, Vista Analysis and from the academic side, representatives from Tsinghua University and IIASA.
