Workshop on Global Emission Scenarios up to 2030

The workshop will discuss global scenarios of future air pollutant emissions up to 2030. These scenarios should reflect recent views on possible economic development trajectories, quantify the likely impacts of the implementation of currently agreed national legislation on emission controls, and explore the scope for potential additional policy interventions.

These scenarios will provide input for model calculations of the hemispheric transport of pollutants, and help to identify the benefits of coordinated hemispheric action on air pollution.

The workshop is organized under the auspices of the Task Forces on Hemispheric Transport of Air Pollutants (HTAP) and Integrated Assessment Modelling (TFIAM) of the Convention on Long-range Transboundary Air Pollution (LRTAP), in cooperation with the US-Environmental Protection Agency (US-EPA).

Due to space restrictions, participation is limited to 40 participants. However, the workshop there will be a live web-cast of the workshop. If you are interested in participation, please contact Markus Amann or Zbigniew Klimont (for contact details see above).
