Demographic Development and Globalization

Wolfgang Lutz was invited to share POP research on demographic challenges in Europe at "Der pädagogische Salon" 

As one of the leading experts in demographic research, Wolfgang Lutz has been invited to touch upon demographic problems in Europe and its correlations with other global concerns. Particularly he will provide his views on the questions

  • How real is the threat of overpopulation in Europe, caused by immigration?
  • Which are the correlations between demographic developments and climate change?
  • Are Austrians close to extinction?
  • What do demographic developments mean for Europe and the world?

The event is organized by the Evangelische Akademie Wien and the Department of Education, University of Vienna. The presentation by Wolfgang Lutz will be followed by a discussion including Diakonie Eine Welt chief executive Michael Bubik.
