The Giornate di Studio sulla Popolazione (Population Days) are an initative of the Italian Association for the Study of Population (Sis-Aisp) and take place bi-yearly. Its aim is to bring together Italian and international leading experts and scholars, mainly from academia, the National Institute of Statistics (Istat) and other national and governmental agencies, to discuss latest research on population and society and to provide an opportunity for comparison across a broad overview of the issues that are currently debated.
World Population Research Scholar Valeria Bordone will give a presentation entitled "Grandparenting and age perception" in parallel session 12 on norms and values of intergeneration transfers. The presentation will take place on day two, Thursday, 5 February between 11AM-12.30PM. Bordone is also coauthor of the paper entitled "Living arrangements: differences by migration background explored and explained" which will be presented by Bruno Arpino in parallel session 23 on comparative analysis of international migration in Europe.
