Ziga Malek joined IIASA's Risk, Policy and Vulnerability (RPV) Program in August 2011. As an early stage researcher on the CHANGES project (Changing Hydro-meteorological Risks - as Analyzed by a New Generation of European Scientists), he is working on the analysis of expected changes in ecosystems and land use patterns in relation to climate change and future economic development. Mr. Malek gained his university degree in landscape architecture at the Biotechnical Faculty of the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, and is continuing his studies as a PhD student at the University of Vienna.
