Upasna Sharma is a Postdoctoral Research Scholar with the Risk and Vulnerability (RAV) Program, where she is working on issues related to communication of uncertainty in the risk communication messages. Before joining IIASA she was an Associate Fellow at the Centre for Global Environment Change at The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), New Delhi for one year, and prior to that she also worked briefly at the Technology Information Forecasting and Assessment Council (TIFAC), New Delhi. In 2009 Dr. Sharma received her PhD from the School of Management at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, in the area of public policy and climate change. Since 2002, she has worked on issues related to impacts, vulnerability and adaptation to climate change and natural hazards, as well as on key issues in climate change negotiations under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
