Understanding Poverty

IIASA's Risk, Policy and Vulnerability Program will be hosting a workshop to look at conceptualizations of poverty and the effect they have on research in the field.

IIASA is working in cooperation with the Nepal Water Conservation Foundation and CICERO to systematically examine the implicit, technical and practical implications of the current conceptualizations of poverty and equity. This two day workshop brings together researchers from IIASA and our international partners to discuss and develop ideas for future research.
