Germany's energy transition is high on the political agenda. Yet there are still a lot of open questions if Germany is to become a global model for the low-carbon energy transformation. The public panel discussion, co-organized by the German Development Institute and the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung with the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), is open to the public and seeks plenty of audience participation and intervention.

The panel will discuss topics such as: What is expected from the German “Energiewende”? Is energy transition primarily a technical or a sociopolitical challenge? And how can the international community organise joint learning on technical and political solutions for sustainable transformation?
