IIASA Side Event at the Vienna Energy Forum

IIASA will host a side event at the Vienna Energy Forum entitled "Multiple Benefits of the Global Energy Transformation: Recent Research Findings."  The side event will present recent research findings – focusing on energy and technology – and their relevance to the Post 2015 Development Agenda. The Global Energy Assessment (GEA), completed in 2012, was an important component of the energy-related activities at IIASA and some of the new research activities at IIASA are building upon the findings of GEA. The event will highlight new research being undertaken at IIASA in the areas of energy and technology seeking to gather insights into the nature of alternative future energy transitions and their implications for environmental and human well-being, in order to assist policy and decision makers.
