ENE scientists are highly connected to the larger integrated assessment community, have a large network of international partners, collaborating on many of its research activities and sharing inputs and results. These connections come not only through the specific projects but also through continuing activities in network of integrated assessment modeling groups. ENE  program scientists play a very active role in benchmarking and modeling a number of international comparison projects and serve on the steering committees of many of them. As a service to the Integrated Assessment community, ENE also plays an active role in the preparation and hosting of a set of interactive scenario databases.

ENE has a long-standing history of collaborations with a number of national research networks especially in National Member Organizations and provides policy-relevant research that helps to inform national policy-makers.

ENE also collaborates individually with a large number of research organizations on a number of topics in its core Research Areas.
