Michael Pimmer is a software engineer at IIASA, focusing on web applications to make modeling data easily accessible.
Mr. Pimmer studied Computational Intelligence at the Vienna University of Technology and wrote his master thesis about the heuristic optimization of high-school timetables.
Before joining the Energy Program (ENE) at IIASA in 2017, he was self-employed, building intranet web applications for drug discovery research and telecommunication companies in Vienna.
Apart from the professional interests at IIASA he is an advocate of free/open software and a member of the FreedomBox project.
