Downloading MESSAGE
Regrettably, it takes months to get used to the technical aspects of MESSAGE and to interpret the results correctly, and we do not feel comfortable in making the model easily available without having the resources to provide support.
However, the Energy Program has public databases and interactive tools that make available vetted and annotated results that were generated with the MESSAGE model:

- Representative Concentration Pathways (RCP) database
- Global Energy Assessment (GEA) pathway database
- Energy Multi Criteria Analysis interactive tool
- Energy Access interactive tool
MESSAGE is the subject of a special agreement between IIASA and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). IAEA distributes a modified version of MESSAGE with a graphical front-end as well as training on how to use it.
