Ecosystems functioning focuses on terrestrial ecosystems and their interaction with the anthroposphere

Ecosystems functioning focuses on ecosystems and their interaction with the anthroposphere. Focal points include greenhouse gas emissions [see LULUCF], the carbon and nitrogen cycles and inherent uncertainties. These efforts rely on biophysical and diagnostic modeling along with empirical studies.
