REDD-PAC Training Session: GAMS for GLOBIOM for REDD-PAC

ESM is hosting the first session of the REDD-PAC school. It is targeted to the scientists who will participate in the modeling tasks in the REDD-PAC project using IIASA’s GLOBIOM model.

The REDD-PAC school is a component of the REDD-PAC project aiming at developing technical know-how and capacity in land-use modeling and scenario assessment.

The first part of the training will be given by Prof. Uwe A. Schneider (University of Hamburg, Germany). It will be a general GAMS course in which the participants will build a small illustrative model which contains a lot of similarity to GLOBIOM.

The second part will be dedicated specifically to the GLOBIOM model, with ESM researcher Ms. Amanda Palazzo (IIASA, Austria) being the main instructor.
