Sylvain Leduc

Sylvain Leduc joined the Ecosystems Services & Management program as a Research Scholar in August 2007 where he has been working on the development of the BeWhere model, a techno-economic model which optimizes the geographical location of bio-energy production plants.

Dr. Leduc Graduated in 2000 from Polytech'Orleans, France. He then worked at the Division of Energy Engineering at the University of Technology of Lule (LTU), Sweden as a Research Engineer, where he studied individual and industrial wood boilers with CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics). In 2009, he received his doctoral degree which he completed in collaboration with LTU and IIASA. The title of his thesis was: "Development of an Optimization Model for the Location of Biofuel Production Plants".
