International conference "Systems Analysis: Modeling and Control" in memory of Academician Arkady Kryazhimskiy

IIASA is co-organizing the international conference "Systems Analysis: Modeling and Control" dedicated to the memory of academician, former ASA Program Leader, Arkady Kryazhimskiy. The conference takes place on 31 May-1 June, 2018 in Moscow, Russia.

The conference focuses on the following two topics:

1. Modern control theory.

2. Systems analysis in complex socio-economic and ecological processes.

Several ASA researchers participate in the conference. Elena Rovenskaya, Advanced System Analysis program Director, is the Secretary of the Program Committee and is giving a keynote talk "On linking optimization models under asymmetric information". Sergey Aseev is giving a keynote talk "An existence theorem for infinite-horizon optimal control problems and its application to a model of optimal exploitation of a renewable resource", Alexey Davydov is giving a keynote talk on "Features of parametric optimization, their robustness and applications" and Nikita Strelkovskii and Sergey Orlov are presenting a poster on "A method for calculation of program package elements for singular clusters".

Academician Arkady Kryazhimskiy (1949 – 2014)

Arkady started working at IIASA in 1993 as the principal investigator in the then Dynamic Systems Program and went on to coordinate and lead this program until 2012. In this role Arkady used his mathematical expertise in areas ranging from optimization methods to dynamic games in order to advance IIASA’s methodological approach. External reviewers were impressed rating the program as "a world leader in problem-driven methodology research."
