Chai Molina joined the Advanced Systems Analysis and Evolution and Ecology programs as a Postdoctoral Research Scholar. His research work at IIASA focuses on mitigating the detrimental effects of scientific uncertainty on cooperation in international environmental agreements to prevent catastrophic climate change.
Chai Molina's research interests also include biological and cultural evolution, population dynamics and infectious disease modeling.
Chai Molina obtained his PhD in mathematics from McMaster University (2016) mentored by David Earn. He also holds an MSc in mathematical and theoretical biology from Tel Aviv University, supervised by Lewi Stone, where he studied how epidemics spread on clustered networks. He received a BA in mathematics and physics from the Israel Institute of Technology (Technion), as part of The Technion Program for Excellence.
