16 March 2013 - 19 March 2013
The conference is unique is that it brings together researchers in electrical engineering, computer science, civil and environmental engineering, systems analysis and science policy under one roof to discuss novel methods and strategies from Information & Communication Technologies (ICT) that can be applied to water resource management.
The conference features world-class workshops, each with a different focus but each providing the necessary context for the others. The first technical workshop is on sensors, systems and control for water networks such as irrigation systems and urban water supply. The other workshop is on the use of information processing methods for decision support and planning. Together these technologies promise to enable an Intelligent Water Grid, the first major upgrade of Pakistan’s water management strategies in many decades. The technical organization for this event is being provided by the LUMS based National Management Office (NMO) of the International Institute of Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) for Pakistan.
