Education and Training
Education and training are an integral part of IIASA research. Programs like the Young Scientists Summer Program (YSSP), Postdoctoral fellowship program, and the new Southern Africa YSSP build capacity at the governmental and international level and also further the development of successive generations of young scientists in the systems analytical tradition.
Building on the successes of the Southern African Young Scientists Summer Program (SA-YSSP), the South African NMO and Government (Department of Science and Technology) have decided to evolve and expand its activities to develop capacity for systems analysis in South Africa and the wider region by launching the new Southern African Systems Analysis Centre (SASAC).
