Restaurant facilities







Lunch is served at the Schloss Restaurant during the following times:
Monday through Thursday 12:00–13:30; Friday 12:00–13:00.There are also a couple of restaurants nearby offering daily menus. 

IIASA key

All IIASA buildings are locked outside of working hours. You will be provided with a key for which a deposit of €10 must be made (will be refunded).

Dress code

T-shirts, jeans and shorts are common working attire for the YSSP'ers. However, please respect the fact that IIASA is a scientific insitute, hosting high profile conferences. Please bring one dressy outfit for any upcoming formal events.

Leave 

Absence from the institute-up to a maximum of 5 days-can be granted for personal reasons (e.g. for weddings/short vacation) and/or scientific reasons (e.g. to attend a conference). Please note that such leave is not to be taken during the first and last week of the program, nor during the time of the core workshop events. This leave needs to be approved by your supervisor (and entered into our MIS system).

Banking facilities

IIASA's house bank, BAWAG, has a representative at the Institute on Wednesdays from 11.00 to 12:00. There are also two banks in Laxenburg (Raiffeisen, Volksbank) which are open each weekday.

Please remember to bring some cash with you when you arrive in Vienna (about EUR 100 to EUR 200) to meet your immediate expenses.
