Restaurant Facilities

Lunch is served at the Schloss Restaurant during the following times:
Monday through Thursday 12:00–13:30; Friday 12:00–13:00.
The IIASA Schloss Restaurant offers a choice of two menus, salad bar and a vegetarian dish. There are also a couple of restaurants nearby offering daily menus.

IIASA key

All IIASA buildings are locked outside of working hours. You will be provided with a key for which a deposit of €10 must be made. This will be refunded to you upon returning the key prior to your departure.

Dress Code

T-shirts, jeans and shorts are common working attire for the YSSP'ers. However, please respect the fact that IIASA is a scientific insitute, hosting high profile conferences. Please bring one dressy outfit for any upcoming formal events.

Leave

Absence from the institute-up to a maximum of 5 days-can be granted for personal reasons (e.g. for weddings/short vacation) and/or scientific reasons (e.g. to attend a conference). Please note that such leave is not to be taken during the first days of the program, nor during the time of the core workshop events. This leave needs to be approved by your supervisor.

Banking Facilities

IIASA's house bank, BAWAG, has a representative at the Institute on Wednesdays from 11.00 to 12:00. There is also a bank in Laxenburg which is open each day.
