The Korea Research Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship

Korean nationals who have received their doctoral degrees by Korean universities are eligible to apply for postdoctoral fellowships.

Funding is provided by the National Research Foundation of Korea for up to 24 months covering travel allowance, monthly stipend, and health insurance.

Applications are made directly to the National Research Foundation. The application material includes a current CV, a proposed research plan during your intended work at IIASA, and references.

After a research proposal has been formulated, applicants are encouraged to communicate with the relevant program representatives. This level of personal interaction is vital not only to discuss research ideas and ascertain their relevance to IIASA scientific agenda but it also allows much more realistic formulation of research plans and expectations on the part of both IIASA and the applicant.

Note: In addition to the Korea Research Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship, please note that you are also eligible to apply to the IIASA-funded postdoctoral fellowships.
