We are looking for an HR Generalist to join our team.
Your role as an HR Generalist will be far from one-dimensional. You will undertake a wide range of tasks, such as HR administration assistance, dealing with employee benefits, organizing training, and helping to craft HR policies. You will use our Management Information System (MIS) to ensure that all staff records are kept up-to-date and that confidentiality is maintained. You will also act as one of the main points of contact for queries from staff members on a variety of HR-related topics with the aim of ensuring that the operations carried out by the HR department run smoothly and effectively and enable us to deliver maximum value to the organization as a whole.
If you have a broad knowledge of human resources functions, from recruiting to on-boarding and from compensation and benefits to performance evaluation, have a passion for HR, enjoy working with people from all over the world, and are familiar with Austrian labor law, then this is the place to be.
Duties will be carried out at the IIASA premises in Laxenburg (near Vienna), Austria.
The successful candidate should be available to take up the post as soon as possible in 2019 and will be offered an initial fixed-term contract for one year which, with the agreement of both parties, can be extended thereafter to an open-ended appointment.
IIASA offers a competitive compensation and benefits package (home leave, moving allowances, educational grants for children of school age, and five weeks’ annual vacation). IIASA salaries are exempt from taxation in the host country of Austria but subject to the principle of income aggregation.
IIASA is committed to a working environment that promotes equality, diversity, tolerance and inclusion within its workforce, and encourages qualified candidates from all religious, ethnic and social backgrounds to apply. In the case that candidates are equally qualified, preference will be given to applicants who are nationals of IIASA member countries.
