Reporting to the Head of the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) department, the MS Windows Systems Administrator will be part of a two-person Windows Administration team within the larger team of IT support professionals. The successful candidate will be responsible for the provisioning, installation and configuration, operations and maintenance of all MS Windows servers, hardware, software and related infrastructure supporting the IIASA staff of approximately 500 people.
The position is a full time role, based at IIASA's offices in Laxenburg. It is foreseen that following an initial trial period of three months, and with the agreement of both parties, the employment contract can be extended to become open ended.
IIASA offers a competitive compensation and benefits package (moving and settlement allowances, educational grants for children of school age, and five weeks’ annual vacation). Additionally, IIASA salaries benefit from being exempt from income tax by the host country of Austria - subject to the principle of income aggregation. The gross salary offered for this position will be in the region of EUR 43,000 per annum (dependent upon the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate).
