The YSSP, which runs from 1 June to 31 August, has selected 51 participants from 23 countries this year. This year’s class includes strong representation from the US, China, Sweden, the Netherlands, Germany, and Finland. Developing countries are also represented, including Pakistan, India, Egypt, and Iran.  During the program, participants work on independent research projects in collaboration with IIASA researchers.

IIASA’s selection committee faced a difficult task this year, with over 300 applications submitted, the third highest in the history of the YSSP. More information.
