IIASA hosts Arctic Council Task Force preparatory meeting

Senior advisors and ministerial staff involved in the Arctic Council Task Force on Short-Lived Climate Forcers met at IIASA, Feb 8 – 9, to prepare for the next assessment of policy options to reduce black carbon and methane emissions in the Arctic region.

The IIASA GAINS model is key to the assessment, helping to identify priority regions and sectors for mitigation action. The meeting was supported by the Swedish Ministry of the Environment.
