IPCC Special Report: Managing the Risks of Extreme Events (SREX)

The Austrian Federal Minister for Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Nikolaus Berlakovich and IIASA’s Reinhard Mechler will today, 8 May, brief international press on the findings of the IPCC SREX report, specifically as they relate to Europe, Austria and Africa.

Dr. Mechler continues to Ethiopia where he will participate in a two-day workshop for policy-makers, academia, and business leaders on the implications of the report’s findings for Africa.
