IIASA leadership visits Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development

The mission of the OECD is to promote policies that will improve the economic and social wellbeing of people around the world. The purpose of the meeting between the OECD and IIASA is to form a strategic partnership with the aim to look together at issues that directly affect everyone’s daily life, to draw on facts and real-life experience, and to jointly shape policies by applying systems thinking to improve the quality of people’s lives.

Joining Kabat on the visit are Jan Marco Müller, Head of the IIASA Directorate Office, and Chin-Min Lee, Special Advisor to the IIASA Director General and CEO.

During his time in Paris, Kabat will give a lecture titled “The IIASA experience: Introducing systems thinking to policy” to OECD management and staff. The lecture will present how the unique capacities of IIASA in developing systemic solutions - both at the global level and at regional/national levels - could be used to the benefit of OECD and its member states.
