2012 YSSP in honor of Nathan Keyfitz

Nathan Keyfitz was the leader of IIASA's Population Program from 1983 to 1991 and IIASA Deputy Director during 1992. At IIASA he pioneered the application of demographic methods to several other fields.

To recognize Nathan's work with his bequest, a 2012 YSSP Fellowship in honor of Nathan Keyftiz, co-funded by the World Population Program, has been established. It is a privilege to offer Sam Hyun Yoo, a young researcher from the United States, the opportunity to participate in the 2012 Young Scientists Summer Program (YSSP) with the World Population Program.

Sam is a PhD student in the School of Social and Family Dynamics, Center for Population Dynamics at Arizona State University with research interests in fertility in developed countries and core skills in statistical and demographic analysis and data management.
