IIASA researcher wins Young Scholar’s Competition
Environmental economist Nadejda Komendantova, a research scholar with IIASA’s Risk, Policy and Vulnerability Program, won the Young Scholar’s Competition at the recent meeting of the Academic Council on the United Nations System (ACUNS) in Vienna.
Komendantova won for her research paper, “Corruption Risks in Renewable Energy Projects: A Case Study of Concentrated Solar Power in the North Africa Region.” The paper was coauthored with IIASA researcher Tony Patt.
