Schelling wins complex systems award

Nobel Laureate Thomas Schelling, a University of Maryland economist who spent seven summers as a scholar in residence at IIASA from 1993 to 1999, is being awarded the Herbert A. Simon Award by the New England Complex Systems Institute.

Schelling is receiving the award at the International Conference on Complex Systems in Boston, Mass., for his work on “Micromotives and Macrobehavior.”
