Denise Watzenig joined the Risk, Policy and Vulnerability Program (RPV) early in 2014. Ms. Watzenig is responsible for the overview of externally funded research projects with a main focus on controlling, funding and administration. She is also involved in the general coordination of the program.
Before joining IIASA, Ms. Watzenig worked for the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the Preparatory Commission for the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban organization (CTBTO) and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). Ms. Watzenig holds a Master's degree in Advanced International Studies (M.A.I.S.) from the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna, with a particular focus on law.
