Alena Puchkova graduated in 2009 from the Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics, Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU), Russia. She is a third year PhD student at the Department of Optimal Control of MSU. Her thesis deals with nonlinear models of optimal control. Her research interests include mathematical modeling, optimization, optimal control theory and their economic, biological and ecological applications.
Ms. Puchkova participated in the Young Scientists Summer Program in 2011 when she worked on the project “Early Warning Signals on Financial Crises”.
Ms. Puchkova is currently a Research Assistant in the Advanced Systems Analysis (ASA) and Evolution And Ecology (EEP) Programs.
