Binh Nguyen

Binh Thanh Nguyen joined the Mitigation of Air Pollution & Greenhouse Gases (MAG) Program in February 2008 as a Research Scholar/Software Engineer. His research topics include software technology, data warehousing and data mining systems, and Web technology.

From August 2001 to December 2004, Dr. Nguyen worked at the International Union of Forest Research Organizations (IUFRO) as the Software Project Manager of GFIS (Global Forest Information Services). He was also a project assistant at the Institute for Software Technology (IFS), Technical University of Vienna, Austria. Furthermore, he was a Senior Lecturer in the Information Technology Department of Hue University, Vietnam where he taught courses in the fields of software technology, databases, e.g., UML (unified modeling language), unified software process, XML and Web Applications, data warehousing and data mining systems, etc.

Dr. Nguyen received his doctorate in the field of data warehouse from the Technical University of Vienna, Austria in June 2001.
