IIASA Alumnus Air Quality and Greenhouse Gases
Nan Li is a guest research assistant in the Air Quality and Greenhouse Gases (AIR) Program and Energy (ENE) program at IIASA. He is a PhD. candidate at the Institute of Energy, Environment, Economy and the Institute of Nuclear and New Energy Technology, Tsinghua University, China.
His research focuses on the nexus of energy and water and the regional China-TIMES model, including the energy supply and energy demand sectors. He is now working on the regional energy modeling of China and attempting to connect this model with the GAINS model to evaluate the air quality and health impact at provincial level. He also intends to compare the China-TIMES model with MESSAGE to see what he can contribute to these two models. Mr. Li received his bachelor’s degree in Engineering Physics from Tsinghua University, China.
